Announcing the 2010 BMWDFW Spring Picnic

All club members are invited to the Spring Picnic on Saturday May 22 at Sharon Seelig’s ranch NE of Stephenville.  Tourmeister Don Mills will lead a ride from LePeep that Saturday morning traveling over paved back roads of several counties and arriving at the picnic in time to eat.  This is a club event for spouses and S.O.s as well as riders so everybody join in.  The Schwartzenburgers will be served at noon, and Sharon’s banana pudding a little later… if you’ve behaved yourself.  Nominal donation to cover cost of food.  Mark you calendars and plan to join us for this major annual event.

BMWDFW Tech Day Registration Form

The San Antonio BMW Riders will be hosting the Texas National Rally. The rally is a no frills event held this year in Llano,TX at Robinson City Park along the south side of the Llano River, just 2 miles west of downtown on RR 152. Llano is located by GPS Coordinates N 30 44.942 W 098 42.333 elevation 1040′.

There is a covered pavilion where we will have coffee, tea, water and ice chests available for BYOB refreshments.

Friday evening we will be serving chili and beans.  Free, while it lasts!!!
Saturday evening at the pavilion, Hank Arriazola will give a slide presentation on his trip to South America.  Click here for a sample. We will have area maps and suggested rides available.

Accommodations
Camping is $1 per person per night.  There are restrooms and showers on site but they are “adequate” at best.  If you’re not into camping, RV spots are available at the park for $22 per night.  Contact Terry Mikulenka for reservations. If you’re not into roughing it, the Days Inn in Llano (609 Bessemer Ave.) has special rally rate, suites for $84.04 / per night. It’s the Annual Mardi Gras Party hosted by Laura Keating. There will be plenty of food including “marinated” strawberries so no one leaves hungry. No costumes are required and beads are given to all so no one has to work for them. Look for the road signs out and the festive decorations at this fun party.
